In a bid to provide sanctuaries for immigrants at risk of deportation, North Carolina churches have been scheduled to come together this weekend for training.
Churches in the 2 days training holding this weekend, will be exposed to how to offer refuge for immigrants at risk of deportation.
Speaking on the movement which has already gained traction, Jeannie Belle said, “I mean, it’s really what we believe in and what our faith compels us to do, which is welcome our neighbors and show them hospitality.”
Susan Steinberg, the church’s head of staff, added, “We’re just becoming more and more aware of the injustices and inconsistencies and very human cost of policy decisions and policy changes and honestly policy chaos.”
