Afua Osei, Co-founder of Lagos-based ‘She Leads Africa,’ a community that helps young African women achieve their professional dreams, speaks on the need for young female African entrepreneurs to speak out and act as role models to other women in efforts to overcome the menace of white male domination.
“It’s hard for young female African entrepreneurs to feel like they fit in, if they can’t see any role models out there,” said 29-year old Ghanaian born Afua Osei, during the annual women’s rights and trafficking conference organized by the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Afua Osei believes that a way to help young African women is to assist them get access to capital for a star up, infuse them in an investment network and then help them fight against biases created by white male entrepreneurs.
