She passed away from heart problems after she began rubbing her face, shaking her head, and experiencing shortness of breath. She was telling some of her 3,400 Facebook friends including her son, who was reportedly watching, about her plans on going back to school earlier in the video.

A friend would rush in after Herndon fell to the floor, A friend called 911, and she was taken to the hospital but didn’t make it.

“Never knew that was going to be the last breath she would take, on social media live,” Herndon’s aunt, Barbara Johnson, told KATV.

The video has since been removed from Facebook. An autopsy will be performed to confirm the cause of death.

Herndon’s mother said she suffered from thyroid problems.

The family set up a GoFundMe page in her honor.
